Wedding styling tips

Wedding styling is a synonym for a wedding dress according to many brides, First thing that comes to their mind after the engagement is usually the perfect wedding dress hunt. We agree that finding the right dress should be on top of your priority list, but don`t forget to pay the same attention to other styling details, especially the wedding day hair style and make up.

Our experts Nina & Maja wanted to share wedding styling tips today. They are convinced that, if you follow these, the wow effect is guaranteed – on your wedding day and as lasting memory in your wedding album!

BOOK YOUR TRIAL

It gives you the opportunity to try out several styles before deciding what works best for you and the dress style you`ve chosen. Make sure to be on the same page with your make-up artist, but also keep in mind that because of camera the make-up needs to be bolder then your everyday look. Feel free to bring along some photos of styles and colors you like. As always, picture is worth a thousand words. It also helps if you wear white and bring your veil. Don`t forget to take photos, sometimes the look you see in person may differ from the one that the camera catches. For example, some eye makeup looks can create a shadow around your eyes in photographs. Yes, we know it`s an extra expense on top of everything, but believe us it`s worth it.

DON’T IGNORE YOUR BODY

If you`ll be wearing a deep back or strapless dress it is crucial to get the fit and sleek look on exposed body parts. Make sure you get a seamless transition with choosing the right foundation and a light touch of shimmer lotion (but no glitter particles).

USE WATERPROOF FORMULAS

Just imagine all the happy tears, hugs, kisses and dancing that will keep going on through the day…

PACK A TOUCH-UP KIT

Don`t forget you have a long day ahead of you. Your styling will be perfect for the ceremony part, but you`ll probably want to retouch your lips or add a bit of translucent powder on your T-zone before making your grand entrance in the reception area. WALK AROUND WITH YOUR FALSE LASHES

Just as most brides walk around the apartment in their wedding shoes to get a better grip, you should do the same with your false lashes on. Your wedding day it`s not the best time to experiment with things you have never done or tried before.

AVOID WAXING AND/OR SPRAY TAN THE DAY BEFORE

The rule of thumb is to wax any part of your face and/or body five days before the wedding in order to avoid any skin reaction that might occur. Same is valid for spray tan which is impossible to remove in a day or two.

GO FOR A TIMELESS LOOK INSTEAD A TRENDY ONE

Same as fashion, make up trends come and go. Therefore you`ll want to go with a neutral and classic styling. One can be super hot today and out of fashion the next day. You don`t want to flip through your wedding photos in ten years from now and freak out about your orange nail polish.

Also, your wedding day is not a good time to start experimenting. If you`re not used to wear red lipstick or smoky eyes, have them tried for a birthday or bachelorette party rather than your wedding. The goal is to look like yourself – only better.

Once you done with your make up, it is time to put on your wedding dress. If your dress can`t be stepped into, but you`ve chosen a one that needs to be put over the head, make sure you cover up your face with a canvas while getting dress. In order to save both your hair and make-up wear a button or a zip shirt to avoid ruining it while changing.
