BRIDE AND GROOM

When it comes to couples’ names written on the invitation, the bride’s name always comes first. In case you have a middle name, consider whether you want to print it on your invitation or not.

DATE AND TIME

In most cases, for special event such as wedding, date is written as a combination of letters and numbers (e.g.: April 7, 2013). Ceremony/reception time is usually printed in numbers, 24-hour format (e.g.: 19:00).

VENUE

Generally, street addresses are not added to the venue name unless there are venues with similar names. In any case, you can send detailed information about the wedding to the guests who have confirmed their attendance.

CEREMONY/RECEPTION

If the ceremony and the reception are held at the same venue, it’s important to emphasize that information. Keep the information about the ceremony and the reception in separate lines, and don’t forget to indicate correct time for both of them.

RSVP

Many couples decide to include RSVP or response card into their wedding invitation set. It enables guests to confirm their attendance by sending it back to the couple. Don’t forget to set a deadline for response (at least a month before the wedding day).
